As you might have noticed I haven´t been sewing thaat much the last days. And this is why…

I´m working on a plaid and crocheting every evening. The pattern I found here, and the yarn you´ve already seen.

I´m working on the dino shirt, but not finished yet. I´m more feeling for crocheting the last days…

I have a secret I haven´t told you before. I did my first Spoonflower design. (On Spoonflower you can upload your own design pattern and print it on different fabric qualities)

Due to my lack of knowledge of graphic programs like Illustrator it took a while. Evere since I heard about Spoonflower, maybe a year ago, I wanted to give it a try. But lately I found out it´s possible to upload pictures!! Well, a collage of picture, that corresponds to my abilities. And what motif? Dinosaurs of course. Granny took so many cool pictures on the dinosaur exhibition!

Today the fabric arrived, it´s organic interlock knit.

My intention is to make a shirt for Keksi. My scandinavian friends will know what I´m thinking of, yes in Molo-style. Molo (danish lable for kids clothing) had a dino shirt lately which I´d almost bought if it wouldn´t have been sold out everywhere. So now I´ll make my own and it will even be cheaper! Although 1yd cost me 22eur incl. shipping the Molo shirt would have cost 25eur or even 30eur without shipping, I don´t remember.

I bought these 2 fabrics at Stoff&Stil in Malmö. Unfortunately I can´t find them on the web which means S&S only sell them in their stores and not online.

The fabric with the small hearts I used for curtains in the living room and the big hearts will be cloths for the windowsills.

I´ve been longing for this electric candlestand the last years.

But it´s not really cheap… This year I couldn´t resist and asked Sister N to get me one and send it from Sweden. Which made it double as expensive but…

… today I´ve put it up and I guarantee you it´s worth every single cent! I love it! It make the most beautiful light you can imagine. It looks like real candles.

Can you see the new x-mas curtains? Now I´m “only” missing small clothes for the windowsills. And that´s what I will do right now…

Remember I was fed up with facebook? Now I´m back.

Galit gave me the final push asking me to join. I have re-opened my account, but I have removed many of the private pictures. I will not be more personel on FB than on my blog. So I´ll give it another try….

“I also want to pick from your fabrics. Would you do that with me and sew me a cushion cover?” my husband said and my heart jumped – going through my fabrics with my darling juhu! A couple of days later I found out that he had said “I also want to pick fabrics with you.” Which means he wanted to do fabric shopping with me – OK, my heart was still jumping.

But he is a person with exact ideas. He was talking of a kind of fabric which I believed to be Chenille. We found this fabric and it turned out to be perfect.

On the picture you can see our new (vintage) chairs I bought on willhaben.at (local platform) last week. Although official re-furnishing won´t take place until after christmas I can´t keep from searching and buying stuff.

And now the question: paint the chairs or not? If yes what color?

This weekend all the christmas markets in Austria opened. In recent years we always visited the big one – the real one – the Wiener Christkindlmarkt infront of the Vienna townhall. But this year we felt we go for a smaller version, the one in the city nearby.

Tomorrow I´ll start decorating the house. I just have to finish the christmas curtains I´m sewing. Stay tuned...

Yesterday Sister S, Lil Sis J and I had a sewing session. (We also did some painting which is part of the re-furnishing)

First out Sister S in a classic re-do. Two old shirts give one new.

And then finally we finished the shirt for Lil Sis J out of the XXL pattern we developed. (which I will show better pictures of at another time)
