Man! There´s a cool boy in town!!

The coolest tartan punk fabric for the pants, bought at Buttinette. Design own, based on Meedom form 2 size 5.

Dr Martens bought for not much money on ebay.co.uk. I just had to have them – remind me of my own I used to have…

Dino Shirt

2009 November 28
by Sara

This morning Keksi said he wants to sew. He wants to sew a shopping bag out of the heart-fabric, the one with the big hearts.

But we ended up finishing the dino shirt. And now he´s off with grandma to the city in his new dino shirt. More happy about the fact that he´s not sick any longer than about the shirt I think. He´s not thaaat excited about my creations anymore. This probably won´t change the next 20 years. But grandma was excited, she contributed with the pictures for the fabric.

You can buy the fabric here.

So many things you can do with wallpaper. Except having it on your wall I mean. I might try some things with this roll I found lately

X-mas stress

2009 November 25
by Sara

Slowly I´m feeling stressed. Normally I´m better organised 4days before the first Advent-Sunday. But the last days nothing got done, no advent wreath, no work, no gifts shopped or crafted and no cookies baked.

No advent wreath done `cause my mother was/is sick who´s supposed to help us.

No work done `cause Keksi was/is sick and at home.

No cookies baked `cause the oven is broken and back to 1 my mum is sick.

No gifts shopped `cause my husband´s busy taking care of me and Keksi (`cause back to 1 my mum…) and to manage his workload and I´m too tired for crafting.

But we´ve managed one thing… Keksi lives up his mother´s expectations and is learning writing at the age of 4! Joke…of course I do not have these expectations, but it does not surprise me. He wants me to spell him certain things for his wish-list. Can you read STERNE on the list? He hasn´t really figured out yet to put the letters from left to right. My big boy!!

Work in progress

As you might have noticed I haven´t been sewing thaat much the last days. And this is why…

I´m working on a plaid and crocheting every evening. The pattern I found here, and the yarn you´ve already seen.

I just pop by to show you what cool pictures the Sony WX1 (which my husband bought today) can take. Panorama view. Enjoy a panorama view of Tina & Co.

Have a nice Saturday evening!

Print your own dinosaur fabric

2009 November 19
by Sara

I have a secret I haven´t told you before. I did my first Spoonflower design. (On Spoonflower you can upload your own design pattern and print it on different fabric qualities)

Due to my lack of knowledge of graphic programs like Illustrator it took a while. Evere since I heard about Spoonflower, maybe a year ago, I wanted to give it a try. But lately I found out it´s possible to upload pictures!! Well, a collage of picture, that corresponds to my abilities. And what motif? Dinosaurs of course. Granny took so many cool pictures on the dinosaur exhibition!

Today the fabric arrived, it´s organic interlock knit.

My intention is to make a shirt for Keksi. My scandinavian friends will know what I´m thinking of, yes in Molo-style. Molo (danish lable for kids clothing) had a dino shirt lately which I´d almost bought if it wouldn´t have been sold out everywhere. So now I´ll make my own and it will even be cheaper! Although 1yd cost me 22eur incl. shipping the Molo shirt would have cost 25eur or even 30eur without shipping, I don´t remember.

Wanna get the same fabric for your personel dino shirt?

You can buy the fabric here. I´ve put up the design for sale on Spoonflower. If you´re new on Spoonflower you need to register, read more on their homepage.

Christmas fabrics

I bought these 2 fabrics at Stoff&Stil in Malmö. Unfortunately I can´t find them on the web which means S&S only sell them in their stores and not online.

The fabric with the small hearts I used for curtains in the living room and the big hearts will be cloths for the windowsills.

The most beautiful

by Sara

I´ve been longing for this electric candlestand the last years.

picture: halens.se

But it´s not really cheap… This year I couldn´t resist and asked Sister N to get me one and send it from Sweden. Which made it double as expensive but…

… today I´ve put it up and I guarantee you it´s worth every single cent! I love it! It make the most beautiful light you can imagine. It looks like real candles.

Can you see the new x-mas curtains? Now I´m “only” missing small clothes for the windowsills. And that´s what I will do right now…
